EXECUTIVE BOARD
Willie McLaughlin - President Treasure
Serves as president & treasurer of the FOSCIK organization. He graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology and the Coyne American Institute. He also completed Law Enforcement training at the Chicago Police Academy, and Wright Community College for Criminal and Constitutional Law.
Deacon McLaughlin is now retired, but worked with the Police Department at the rank of Sergeant. He served with the Forest Preserve Police Department of Cook County for approximately 27 years.
He served as the Director/Trainer of the Police Canine Unit Division, as well as Patrol Supervisor.
His foreign missions work began when he spearheaded a mission project to send 2,000 bibles to Africa. While there, he initiated a mission project to work with orphaned, destitute and abandoned children. He and his wife started out by personally sponsoring 12 of these children.
Willie has served on the mission fields in Kenya each year since he co-founded the organization FOSCIK. His work on the mission field has also taken him to Gambia, and Guinea Bissau, Africa.
He has served in Jamaica and the United States; Texas, Baltimore, Maryland, and Chicago, Illinois.
Beverly McLaughlin - Executive Secretary
Serves as the Co-Founder to FOSCIK (Friends Of Sheltered Children In Kenya) organization. She also serves as the Executive Secretary to the FOSCIK organization. Beverly worked with the Chicago Public Schools for 19 years, in the Office of Administration, Research, Evaluation and Planning and School Improvement Planning. She attended the Moraine Valley Community College, in Palos Hills IL. Majoring in several business courses. She served as a Community Service Officer for 12 years with the MVCC Police Department.
Beverly attended Harold Washington Community College in Chicago, majoring in courses in computer technology. She also attended Wilber Wright Community College in Chicago. Majoring in Business Law, Journalism, and Creative Writing. Served with the Crisis Intervention Teams of the Illinois Baptist Association. She received training in; Disaster Relief, Evangelism and Food Distribution. Beverly has served on the missions fields Nationally and Internationally. Full filling God’s calling to reach His people.
Christine Sullivan - Public Relations
Attended Wheaton College and Loyola University. She worked 31 years with Illinois Bell, Ameritech, and SBC which is now AT&T. She worked as a Customer Account Specialist in the Consumer Business Unit.
She attends the Deliverance Temple Church of God, in Skokie Illinois. She has worked with young inner city youth for 6 years and has been a member of the National Evangelical Association and the National Student Christians organization. Ms. Sullivan has traveled to Africa on many occasions. She assisted in sponsoring two orphan children during their youth. She has been instrumental in raising funds for education, clothing and medical over the years. As well as evangelizing throughout Kenya, by bringing people to Christ.
Sherry Chambers
Sherry is a proud member of Allstate’s Helping Hands volunteer team where she successfully coordinates various events throughout the year for Special Olympic of Illinois. She has volunteered with Chicago Scholars and Home of the Sparrow. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Loyola University of Chicago and Master of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Johnny Hutson
Retired Physical Education and Driver Education teacher. He was also a coach and an Athletic Director. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a double major in Physical Education and African American Studies. He has a MS from Chicago State University in Physical Education as well as a MS in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University.
He has been married for 35 years and has 3 children. A member of Broadview Missionary Baptist Church in Broadview Illinois. He serves as a Sunday and Vacation Bible School Teacher. He also as a member of the Prison Ministry.
He has been on several mission trips with Broadview Baptist ranging from traveling to The Gambia to serving and preparing meals at homeless shelters.
He has traveled on mission trips to Kenya multiple times. He has taught bible lessons, provided music and vocals during praise and worship.
Overall, he has become a major asset to the children and people of Kenya, by showing God’s love.

Marvin Lyle -Media Relations Director - Philanthropist
C. E. O of Gospel sunrise Productions of Gary Indiana. Gospel sunrise is a outreach ministry which support our SENIORS and YOUTH in the Gary area. Gospel Sunrise Productions sponsors a weekly Sunday program on W.G.V.E. 88.7 F.M. and is also responsible for promoting Gospel musical programs in and around the area. GIVING GOD GLORY! Marvin has traveled to many parts of the world serving God’s People.
Gary Tippet - Philanthropist

1985 graduate from University of Illinois at the Medical Center Chicago with a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy.
President, CEO & Owner at Will and Way Occupational & Massage Therapy Srvs. Have traveled to East Africa, Kenya on Missions, and served in the Chicagoland Area.
Gerald Osburn - Philanthropist
Graduated from Tuskegee Institute with a degree in Accounting. Served 31 years in Government as an auditor. Also a certified appraiser. Have traveled to East Africa on many occasions to do missions work. Gerald is also a philanthropist.
Janice Culver - Philanthropist
Foreign Missionary of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Evangelist, Sunday School Superintendent, Elementary School Teacher, Actor, Director, a friend to a few and a lover of all. Foreign Missionary work became a dream realized by the grace of God. I thank God that FOSCIK found me. I have enjoyed the kinship and fellowship; and look forward to continue to help the shelter children of Kenya.
Kenya Mclaughlin-Philanthropist
Graduated from Amos Alonzo Stagg High School. Studied Music Appreciation (Orchestra & Jazz Ensemble).
Attended Moraine Valley Community College. Major - Fine Arts. Foreign Language – Music.
Serving on the mission fields - Nationally and Internationally - Worked with orphaned, destitute, and abandoned children. Served in food and clothing giveaways – Preparation of supplies to the homeless, battered women, children and men shelters.
Currently I am working with children, young adults, and seniors as a therapy technician.
Tiffany Hutson - Philanthropist
Attended Triton College - Received certification in Film and Photography.
Because of her passion for swimming she began teaching and coaching children. Later she joined the music department.
She assisted in teaching song and dance to the children at BMBC Vacation Bible School.
Tiffany joined Foscik and fell in love with missions and helping the children. She has traveled to Kenya on multiple occasions, evangelizing, distributing Bibles and teaching the orphaned shelter children.
She now serves as a board member. Assisting in administration duties and social media promotions.
Beverly Dent-Robertson
Beverly Dent-Robertson was an educator for more than thirty five years. She served public school students in various positions, she was a Physical Education Teacher, Coach, Administrator and mentor to many. She joined the profession in 1980 and retired from the profession in 2015 and is now a dedicated grandmother to her grandson, Mekhi. She joined the FOSCIK Team five years ago, serving sheltered children in Kenya. Her passion for serving children is ever present in her life. Teaching was a calling that she gladly accepted.
Antoinette Waterman
Antoinette Waterman: attended John Marshall High School in Chicago, IL. From there she went on to Kennedy King Community College.
She has been a member of Young Life (Youth Organization) for many years. Where she worked with youth.
Antoinette has worked for over 40 years in the Financial Institution Field. Her expertise is in banking.
Her worship place is the Deliverance Temple Church. Where she continues to serve the Lord.
She has worked with FOSCIK on a national level as well as an international level. She has served the orphaned, destitute, and abandoned children in Kenya. Assisted in fundraising to support the homeless, battered women and children as well as new moms.
Kathy Rates
Kathy Rates grew up in Cleveland Ohio, the youngest of four siblings.
Graduated from John f. Kennedy High School, Cleveland Ohio.
Moved to Chicago, IL. attended Olive Harvey Community College.
Retired from the United States postal service, Glenview IL.

Symon Mukuna - Foreign Affairs
A tour operator by profession. Co-owner of Sights Of Africa Tours and Travels (SOATT). He has served on the board of FOSCIK for numerous years. Mr. Mukuna co-leads with the Foreign Affairs issues for FOSCIK in Kenya, Africa. His duties are not limited to, but includes; Travel Arrangements for Foreign Travel, Legal Advisement.
Mathew Kiama - Foreign Affairs
He is married with 3 children. Co-owner and operator of Sights of Africa Tours and Travels. He has served on the board of FOSCIK for numerous years. Mr. Kiama assist with Foreign Affairs for FOSCIK in Kenya, Africa. His duties are not limited to, but includes; Travel Arrangements for Foreign Travel, Land Acquisition, Property Securities, Legal Advisement.
